Solar panel accessories

When installing a solar panel, it is important that it is installed in the right location with minimum shade and the correct angle towards the sun. The best place for a solar panel is a roof or wall facing south and the optimum angle can vary depending on the latitude of the location. Mounting a solar panel on an angle-adjustable support frame will allow you to change the angle of the panel to utilise as much of the sun's energy as possible. In order to make best use of the energy generated by a solar panel, a charge controller or regulator needs to be connected between the solar panel and the battery. The charge controller makes sure that the battery receives an optimum charge from the solar panel. Want to know more about solar panels and building your own solar generator? You will find more information in our Solar power guide. It can be found under the Documents tab on the product page of every product in the Solar panel accessories category.
