We are passionate about simplifying life for our customers and solving their everyday problems in a sustainable way. An important factor in our sustainability work is our product range and our choice to offer customers products that can contribute to a more sustainable lifestyle. 20 per cent of our product range already consists of sustainable products, and we aim to increase this. The goal is for 25 percent of sales to come from products that are defined as the more sustainable business year 2020/21 (latest April 2021).
Besides the ecolabels FSC, Nordic Ecolabel, EU Ecolabel and Oeko-tex, we have developed a model to be able to make better choices and promote a more sustainable product range. A more sustainable product may have a cleaner manufacturing process, a better choice of ingredients or be made of a sustainable material. It may be more sustainable because it saves resources when used or because it provides better conditions for reuse or recycling. A specific evaluation is made of each individual product and as the criteria regarding what is sustainable are constantly changing due to advances in research and development, assessments have a limited shelf life and need to be evaluated again after a certain time period has elapsed.
