Guarantee

Except where we state otherwise, we provide a two year guarantee on our products to cover material and manufacturing defects and other defects that affect the product’s normal functioning under the guarantee period. Clas Ohlson Limited always has a 2 year guarantee on light sources that includes electronics i.e. LED and energy saving light bulbs. Exception: The guarantee does not cover consumable light sources e.g. rechargeable batteries, light sources other than LED and energy saving light bulbs. For further information on other such consumable products excluded from the guarantee, please contact our customer service department on 020 824 79300.

We offer a 5 or 10 year guarantee on a selection of our own brand ranges, relevant guarantees are stated on the product pages of our website. We offer 5 year guarantee on selected products which includes selected Asaklitt suitcases, Coline kitchen appliances and selected Cotech products. 10 year guarantee is also offered on selected Cocraft products unless stated otherwise. If guarantee is offered it will be listed on the guarantee tab on the product page.

The guarantee will not be valid if

  • >The product has been exposed to over voltage or abnormal use; or
  • >The manual, care recommendations and service recommendations have not been followed.
  • >You do not provide proof of purchase when returning the product.

If any of our products prove faulty within the guarantee period please contact our Customer Service department at uk.customerservice@clasohlson.co.uk or call 020 824 79300 where we will be able to tell you how we will deal with repairing or replacing the product.

The rights set out in this section do not affect your statutory rights.

Orders

Payment

Klarna (Buy now pay later)

In cooperation with Klarna Bank AB we offer invoice payment, installment, direct payment and card payment for individuals and companies.

Our order confirmation and invoice from Klarna will be sent by e-mail or to your postal address when the order is shipped from us. The invoice has to be payed within 30 days.

Clas Ohlson always grants cancellation / open purchase for 90 days when you pay with Klarna.

Klarna Checkout

Clas Ohlson uses Klarna Checkout for private customers and corporate customers. Klarna Checkout presents some information for you as soon as you are identified. What information you need to enter to obtain identification may vary between different purchases and customers. Credit worthiness is never checked automatically in Klarna Checkout, only if necessary, depending on the payment option you have chosen.

Credit statements taken by Klarna do not affect your creditworthiness and cannot be seen by others requesting credit information about you, such as banks. All prices are correct at time of publication. Prices are shown in £ (Sterling) and include VAT at 20% and exclude our delivery charge unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to product availability and are only valid while stocks last.

Occasionally we run short term price promotions, offering exceptional discounts on specified products on the website. Once these promotions have finished the products will only be available at the price stated and not the previous discounted price.

Prices offered on the website may not necessarily reflect prices on the same products in our stores. We reserve the right to offer special website prices to our online customers that will not be offered if the product is purchased in one of our stores.

We may not be able to accept your order due to one of the following reasons:

Clas Ohlson price promise

If you can find our product for less from another national retailer up to 28 days after you make your purchase we will match the price or refund the difference.

Rights of regret

If you change your mind within up to 90 Days this is not a problem. Our products are covered by our up to 90 day money-back-guarantee as long as they are in their original packaging and unused.

To benefit from this refund policy, you must:

  • Provide proof of purchase.
  • Return the product within the up to 90 day period.
  • Return the product and accessories in the same condition as when purchased.

Unless the product is found to be faulty, refunds will only be given in accordance with your legal rights. For example personal grooming products which cannot be resold for health and hygiene reasons once unwrapped. Also DVDs and computer software will be restricted to an exchange due to the problem of unlicensed copying.

Substances not available for delivery

We do not deliver any liquids or gaseous substances due to strict guidelines set out by our Carriers. This means that any product that contains liquids or gases cannot be provided by our home delivery service.

How to place a Click & Collect order

  1. Add item(s) to your basket and go to Checkout
  2. Check everything in your basket is correct and Continue – Choose Delivery
  3. Click on Collect in store and select your local store from the dropdown menu
  4. Once you have choosen the store click Continue – Choose Payment
  5. Fill in your payment details and click Place Order

Please make sure you enter the correct mobile number as we will need this to notify you when your order is ready to collect.

How to collect your Click & Collect order

You will received a text message once your order has arrived in store and is ready to collect.

Please bring this notification and a form of ID with you. If you would like someone else to collect your order on your behalf, please ensure they bring a copy of the confirmation text with them.

Click and collect orders will be held for 14 days. If you would like us to hold your order for longer please email Customer Service

Refunds and return policy

There are two ways to return products:

(i) Visit one of our local stores with your receipt and we will give you a refund or exchange.

(ii) Call our Customer Service team on 020 824 79300 and they will provide you with return instructions. Please note, when returning items the products must be unused and in their original packaging. Products that are returned remain your responsibility until we receive them. As soon as we receive the returned item(s), we will refund the card you made the original purchase with. Please note that For security reasons we cannot refund a different credit/debit card to the one you placed the original order on and we can only send out replacement products to the delivery address specified in the original order. Please also note that we do not refund the delivery cost unless the product is damaged or faulty.

Distance Selling Regulations

Under the Distance Selling Regulations, you have the right to cancel your order for any item purchased on this website for a full refund within seven days of receipt of goods. To cancel, you can either email or telephone within seven working days of delivery of your item(s), quoting your order number. You must not use your items and must return them in their original packaging. Please also note that we do not refund the delivery cost unless the product is damaged or faulty. Who is the controller?

Clas Ohlson Ltd London Corporate Identity Number 6298382 and its parent company Clas Ohlson AB, Corporate Identity Number 556035-8672, are the joint controllers for the processing of your personal data that we collect and process within the scope of this Policy.

How do we store and protect the information collected?

Your personal data is stored in our databases which are protected by physical, technical and process-related measures. Our information systems are protected by firewall software in order to segregate them from the access of other networks that are connected to the internet. Only those employees who need the information to fulfil a certain assignment are granted access to personal data. Our personnel are constantly informed about our security and data protection policies.

For how long do we store your personal data?

As a general rule, personal data should not be retained for a longer period than is necessary in relation to the purposes for which they were collected or for which they are further processed. For purchases by non-registered customers we store information for 90 days, and for registered Customers we store data until 24 months of inactivity. Clas Ohlson will thus only retain and process your personal data when it is necessary to fulfil our obligations outlined herein.

Moreover, you have the right to request the erasure of your personal data (“the right to be forgotten”) by contacting us (please see contact details further below).

Do we transfer your personal data to third parties?

In addition to the specific sections on transfers of personal data to third parties outlined above, we will transfer your personal data to:

  • The police, when obligated by law, to investigate a serious crime.
  • IT consultants which we hire from time to time for service and development of our IT systems (currently Microsoft). Some of the IT consultants are based in India where laws and regulations do not offer adequate data protection according to the EU Commission. To protect your personal data with respect to these transfers, we have entered into standard contractual clauses drafted by the EU Commission with Microsoft. However, if the processing of your personal data that you wish to limit or delete is necessary to comply with these terms, the usage of the Website may be materially altered as a consequence of the restriction or deletion.
